Alton Towers

Today we took a road trip to Alton Towers with a couple of seven year olds to break them in properly on what would be their first proper experiences of theme parks.

We went with the idea that there would be probably a few tears, anxiousness from the children assuming they aren’t safe, maybe too much height and maybe those first experiences of butterflies could be too much for them at first.

We started as we meant to go on, The Enterprise. You go in a cage, there’s no seatbelts, K sat in between my legs and I held onto him…

It starts to spin around in a circle and gradually tilts to the side, eventually it goes upside down. K loved this ride!

We then went on Hex, the story scared K, but he has a vivid imagination and doesn’t quite grasp properly that it’s just a story and it’s not real. He was fine on the ride though, it’s a bit trippy and makes you think your upside down, but your not.

We then had a walk round the gardens and enjoyed the scenery. Had some lunch and proceeded.

The Haunted House. K loved going on this one, mostly because you get to shoot the ghosts with lasers… He loved it!

We then went on the rapids, we got soaked…

We went on the runaway train. And many other rides.

It was a great day out. And even though the kids were limited to what they could go on we still got a full day out with loads they could do! It was amazing!

I can’t wait to go back with them!

Have you got any theme parks that you love to go to? I would love to hear them!
